Welcome to Argentina! Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, experience the soul of Argentina at Rojo Tango, one of the country’s most acclaimed tango shows. Held in the Faena Hotel’s elegant cabaret space, the performance traces the evolution of tango—from its 1920s origins to the modern nuevo tango movement inspired by Astor Piazzolla. Dancers, singers, and a live orchestra bring this passionate art form to life as you enjoy a gourmet dinner during the show.

Spend the day exploring Iguazú National Park, home to the spectacular Iguazú Falls. After pickup from your hotel, travel through lush jungle with your guide, learning about the park’s rich biodiversity along the Yacaratía path.
Follow the Upper and Lower Circuits, which offer views from sweeping panoramas to up-close thundering waterfalls like Salto Bossetti and Dos Hermanas. The highlight is the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), where immense volumes of water plunge into a dramatic chasm.
Later, head to Port Macuco for an exhilarating boat ride along the Lower Iguazú River canyon. Navigate through rapids and approach the base of the falls, feeling the mist and power of the water as you pass by San Martín and Devil’s Throat Falls. Afterward, return through the forest and transfer back to your hotel for a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.
This morning you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, a host will accompany you to the port to board the ferry across the Río de la Plata to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. On arrival, your local guide will meet you at the dock and escort you to your hotel in the heart of the historic Old Town.
The Charco Hotel is located in Colonia del Sacramento, in a privileged riverfront location. The hotel features seven unique guest rooms and a bistro with outdoor seating overlooking the water.
Explore Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved colonial charm. Founded by the Portuguese and later contested by Spain, the city’s history is reflected in its cobblestone streets and centuries-old architecture. Visit landmarks such as the Portón de Campo, Calle de los Suspiros, the town squares, and the Iglesia Matriz, Uruguay’s oldest church. Conclude your tour with a mate tasting to learn about this cherished local tradition and its role in daily Uruguayan life.
Transfer from Colonia to Montevideo with a visit to La Vigna cheese farm and winery. La Vigna started in 2004 as a family project by Agustin and his partner Lucila, who restored a charming old winery in the Uruguayan countryside with a focus on sustainable farming and viticulture practices. Their dedication and passion have transformed La Vigna into one of the finest artisanal cheese producers in the region, renowned for innovative techniques and a commitment to quality.
Your visit includes a tour of the farm and a tasting of their signature cheeses, each crafted with care and creativity. You’ll enjoy lunch with the makers for an opportunity to learn more about their farm and approach before continuing on to Montevideo.

Enjoy a full-day tour of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. This city combines the feeling of a big, modern city with a colonial past, and you will explore both parts of its history today with your private guide.
Start with the historic city center. Main points of interest include the Old City, Constitution Square, the Cathedral and colonial Town Hall, Solis Theatre, and Independence Square. You will also visit the Port Market, which is now a vibrant market hall, with a huge variety of restaurants and traditional asado grills.
You will also have the opportunity today to visit one of Montevideo’s museums, depending on your interests and the museums’ hours – the MAPI (Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art), the Torres Garcia Museum, or the Gurvich Museum (closed on Sundays).
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will head to La Ciudad Nueva (the new city). Unlike the Old City, this area was planned with wide, tree-lined streets, with magnificent stores and residences. You will have a few options for places to visit this afternoon, and your guide will customize the day based on your preferences and interests.
Depart Montevideo for José Ignacio, stopping en route at Olivos de las Ánimas, an olive estate set in the scenic foothills of Cerro de las Ánimas. Learn about the production of premium extra virgin olive oil and enjoy a guided tasting that highlights the region’s flavors. Savor a homemade lunch at the home of the owner, Martín, whose passion for his craft reflects the warmth of Uruguay’s countryside. The surrounding landscape is rich with wildlife, from colorful cardinals to elegant rheas. After lunch, continue your journey to José Ignacio.
Bahia Vik is a beachfront property in Jose Ignacio, a fishing village that has been transformed into Uruguay's premier beach destination, about 30 minutes up the coast from the more heavily-developed Punta del Este. The hotel has 10 suites and 11 bungalows, all facing the ocean. Guests can enjoy four swimming pools, stand-up paddleboarding, horseback riding, and relaxation on the pristine beach.
After a morning drive to the small Village of Valizas, enjoy a barefoot trek across the sand dunes to the village of Cabo Polonio, where you can visit one of the largest sea lion colonies in South America. After a walk of approximately 3 hours, you’ll arrive to breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the raucous barks of hundreds of sea lions and fur seals. Enjoy a seaside lunch before returning through the sand dunes on a 4×4 vehicle.
Meet your local guide for a full-day tour of Garzón, often called the “Uruguayan Tuscany.” Begin with a visit to the quiet town of Garzón, stopping at its main square, chapel, and old train station. Continue to Bodega Garzón for a private tour of the vineyards and state-of-the-art winery, set atop a rocky hill with sweeping views of the countryside. Learn about their winemaking and olive oil production before enjoying a guided tasting of premium wines and extra virgin olive oils. Conclude with a leisurely lunch paired with Garzón’s finest wines before returning to José Ignacio for the evening.
Say goodbye to Uruguay and head to the airport to catch your departing flight.
