Day 1: Arrive in Salzburg

Welcome to Austria! Upon arrival at Salzburg’s airport, you will meet your private driver for a transfer to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is at leisure to settle in or begin exploring Mozart’s hometown at your own pace.

Day 2: Sights and Sounds of Salzburg

Set out to explore Salzburg. Begin with a walking tour through the UNESCO-listed Old Town, where narrow cobbled streets lead past baroque squares, churches, and landmarks such as Mozart’s birthplace and Residenzplatz. Continue up to Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of the largest and best-preserved medieval castles in Europe. Day 3: Tirol Hike and Travel to Seefeld

Depart Salzburg and travel west toward the Tyrolean Alps. Along the way, stop near Kitzbühel for an easy, privately guided 3-hour hike through alpine meadows and forested trails. The route offers wide mountain views and a relaxed pace suitable for enjoying the scenery. During the hike, pause for lunch at a traditional alpine hut, where Tyrolean dishes are served in a simple mountain setting.

In the afternoon, continue through the landscapes of Tyrol to Seefeld, an alpine resort town known for hosting Olympic Nordic skiing events. Check in to your hotel, your base for the next three nights.

Day 4: Gorge Hike and Bavarian Villages

After a short private shuttle from Seefeld, arrive at the entrance to the Leutasch Gorge (Leutaschklamm), a narrow ravine carved deep into the mountains along the border of Austria and Germany. Follow elevated walkways through the gorge, passing waterfalls, steep rock walls, and rushing turquoise water as you move through this dramatic natural setting.

After exiting the gorge, continue along forest and riverside trails that gradually lead into Germany. By afternoon, arrive in the village of Mittenwald, known for its painted houses and long tradition of violin making. Spend time exploring the town and enjoy lunch at your leisure. You might visit the violin-making museum or take a short walk to a nearby alpine lake before returning to Seefeld by train or private transfer.

Day 5: Hike in the Gaistal Valley

After breakfast, take a short private transfer into the Gaistal Valley, part of the Almparadies Gaistal Nature Reserve, an alpine landscape known for wide meadows and dramatic mountain views. Gentle trails lead to traditional mountain huts, while longer paths climb higher into the surrounding peaks.

Pause for lunch at one of the alpine huts, where local dishes are served in a relaxed mountain setting. Depending on the route you choose, you may begin your descent after lunch or continue farther along the trail before returning to your hotel in Seefeld by private shuttle.

Day 6: Travel to the Italian Dolomites

After breakfast, depart Seefeld and travel south toward South Tyrol and the dramatic peaks of the Dolomites. Along the way, stop in Innsbruck, where you can either enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic center or choose a scenic hike with views over the city and the surrounding Karwendel mountains.

In the afternoon, continue your journey into the Dolomites and arrive in Val Gardena (Gröden), your base for the final three nights of your hiking holiday.

Day 7: Hiking the Dolomites

After breakfast with stunning views of the Dolomites from your hotel, take a cable car into the surrounding high alpine terrain for a day of hiking among some of the region’s most dramatic peaks. Several trail options are available, ranging from gentle paths across alpine meadows to more demanding routes that climb higher into the mountains.

Pause for lunch at a traditional mountain hut, where local specialties are served with wide views of the surrounding peaks. In the afternoon, return to the hotel and enjoy time to relax and unwind.

Day 8: Hiking Seiser Alm and Tasting Dolomiti Cuisine

Today’s hike takes you to the Seiser Alm, Europe’s largest high-altitude alpine meadow. Follow gentle trails across rolling pastures surrounded by the distinctive peaks of the Dolomites. The route passes traditional alpine huts, including Plattkofelhütte, where you can pause for a break and sample local specialties such as speck and homemade cheese.

Several routes are available, ranging from easy walks across the meadow to more demanding hikes toward viewpoints near Monte Pana or Compatsch. Along the way, enjoy wide views of the Sassolungo and Sciliar massifs. After a full day in the mountains, return to your hotel to relax for the evening.
